New to Blog - love Adoption Link

I am new to this "blog" thing, but I've read so many wonderful stories regarding adoption.

I have to say that I know that topic is not the easiest to discuss.  I know too well the struggles that both birthmoms/birthparents and adoptive families have to go through with adoption.  I have a friend who is trying for the 3rd time to adopt a baby; her placements fell through twice with the same agency (in Ohio), and when they did, the agency treated her so coldly - like it was just a business transaction.

We were so happy to have found Adoption Link in Yellow Springs, Ohio.  Even though we are not from the area, we have found them to be true to their word.  They always have answers and were able to remedy my friend's situation when her adoption didn't go through.  I have read so much about Adoption Link prior to my experience with them and have to say that I was most comforted when I found out the owner is a SEASONED adoptive mother herself and truly LIVES for finding the joys of adoption and creating happy families.

I have so much more to learn about adoption and very interested in knowing more about experiencing a healthy, open adoption situation.  I would urge any of your who might consider adoption to ask as many questions as you can and make sure you spend your time with those who have your (and the child's) best interests at heart!  Adoption changes lives forever and the decision should never be taken lightly.  It doesn't matter which side of the adoption experience you are on, it will be the most important/selfless decision you ever make!  God Speed and Bless You!

**I started by reading as much as I could regarding the laws and "how-to's" of adoption.  I also read every review I could get my hands on of agencies in my state.  There are many great folks out there looking to help.  A good place to start:  www.adoptionlink.org
